Privacy-first, cookieless website analytics for WordPress — self-hosted, with goals, geolocation, and reports.

== Description ==

WP Chest - Statistics is a lightweight, privacy-first analytics plugin. All data stays in your own WordPress database — nothing is sent to third parties. It tracks without cookies using a daily-rotating salted hash, so raw IP addresses and persistent fingerprints are never stored, and the visitor identifier is unlinkable across days by design.

Features:

* Real-time dashboard with visitors, sessions, pageviews, bounce rate and average visit duration
* Time-series charts with custom date ranges and period-over-period comparison
* Top pages, referrers, devices, browsers, operating systems and countries
* Conversion goals (page view, click, and developer-hook based)
* UTM / campaign tracking
* City-level, offline (no-call) geolocation
* Outbound / external link tracking
* CSV exports, branded printable PDF reports, and scheduled email summaries
* Bot filtering, role exclusion, and an IP blocklist
* Configurable data retention with automatic daily pruning

== Privacy ==

* No cookies and no localStorage.
* Visitor identity is a one-way SHA-256 hash of a daily-rotating salt + IP + user agent + host. Old salts are discarded, so hashes cannot be recomputed or correlated across days.
* Raw IP addresses are used only transiently for hashing and geolocation, then discarded. An optional setting stores only a truncated (/24 or /48) IP.
* All statistics are stored locally in your WordPress database.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `wp-chest-statistics` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`.
2. Activate the plugin through the *Plugins* menu in WordPress.
3. Visit *SquidSpark Stats* in the admin menu.

For local testing, open *SquidSpark Stats → Settings → Tools* and click **Generate sample data**, or run `wp wpchest stats seed`.
